In this particular sector of studies SinTau's designs and system implementations cover various fields technologies
in various sectors (aerospace, automotive and defence).
Starting from the customer's technical specifications, turnkey solutions are designed and implemented in such a way to be able to meet the requirements quickly and at low cost.
SinTau's many years of experience is able to provide mechanical solutions, internal and external cabling of test racks, design and construction of harnesses, customized HW solutions, connector box systems based on Virginia Panel or proprietary technology,
ad hoc software design for the execution of test sequences etc.
The test systems produced can be installed and verified at the customer's site by our specialized and certified staff.
The telecommunications sector is experiencing a period of profound transformations
due to the presence of new operators in the field of traditional telecommunications
(for example MVNO virtual operators, service providers such as Google, Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, etc.), due to the explosion of data demand that requires pervasive and broadband networks
and the growing need for intelligent networks (smart) in all sectors of activity.
The infrastructure development needs and the consequent technological implications are considerable.
In general issues related to wireless broadband networks (LTE – Long Term Evolution), the emergence of IoT networks
increasingly pervasive, the appearance of multi-standard networks (5G), interoperability between operator networks,
data transfer between radio networks and Wi-Fi networks
and the development of new services associated with data networks will be the challenges fundamentals
in the telecommunications sector to be addressed in the coming years.
These technology trends and challenges generate engineering demands across all industries areas, from product design and testing
to the development of network control devices, fields where SinTau is qualified and fully operational.
The applied telecommunications technologies that see SinTau more involved are:
intelligent networks such as Smart Grids for optimal energy management, “Machine to Machine (M2M)”
intelligent objects for data collection, the increase of efficiency and security, access to services through devices, cybersecurity.
In the field of cybersecurity we are involved in the creation of an environment testing of equipment
and devices that allows speeding up the development of new products and validating their capabilities
and performance with respect to security needs.
The project also aims to achieve innovation in the field of definition and preparation of test environments for new products,
with the aim of improving the flexibility of the methods and technologies currently available,
in order to enable the test environment delivery service offer on specification, adaptable to different types of devices and equipment and application domains.
Our team is capable of offering optimized project solutions with high knowledge content.
The company bases its success on the expertise, experience and technical background of the people it employs.
This knowledge and experience base is kept fresh by the company's continued heavy investment in research.
The company boasts a close collaboration with universities proposing research and development projects
and promotes apprenticeship and collaboration internships with the most promising graduates and undergraduates.
Current research activities include more innovative technologies such as WiFi/3G Offload, Smart Grid systems,
devices and systems for Smart City, cyber security systems applied to the IoT and system synchronization in IEEE 1588.
In particular, SinTau is developing a relatively open architecture IoT platform sensor interfacing technologies and storage platforms and cloud management.
This system is clearly affected by Network Security issues and requires a focus on the part of the company to solve them.
Another system under development is aimed at solving the WiFi offload problem and will allow the creation of a technology
aimed at using home routers for the purpose of accessing nomadic users to the cloud, using a public connection obtained by reserving a portion of the home router's bandwidth for this purpose.
The same device can be used to allow access to the cloud of IoT networks without the need to create ad hoc infrastructures.
It is evident that also in this case the study and resolution of Network Security problems requires shared access between private users and public users.
The study and design areas exposed determine and require in-depth skills in the electronic and IT sectors that cover all areas of system, Hw and Sw design.
